Delicious Meals on Gorgeous Rugs
Entertaining friends and family are a natural extension of Bruce and John’s lives.
Cooking delicious meals is just one aspect of their generous hospitality. From brunch in the kitchen nook with sunlight streaming through the windows to elaborate dinners in their more formal dining room—YOU get to ENJOY.
Meals are prepared in the kitchen while standing on long Tribal Chobi runners. Oh, did I say “standing on rugs while cooking”? I sure did, because this is the other aspect of life at the home of John and Bruce. You will find Bunyaad rugs in all areas of the home.
Creating a scrumptious meal made with fresh, quality ingredients spills over into other areas of their lives. John and Bruce have been long-time customers of fair trade rugs. They have supported the rug program because they know how each rug purchase changes the lives of rug artisans in Pakistan.
Buying a Bunyaad rug made with high quality materials also means that the rug can easily handle messes in the kitchen or spilled wine and butter dripping from your lobster while sharing dinner.

Each rug has been carefully selected to fit the décor and mood of each room. Chobis in muted earthen tones in the kitchen nook and underfoot while cooking invite you to chat and hang out with the cook. Deep reds and creams in the intricate Persian and on the wall accented by black and gold call for a five-course meal and lively discussions into the night while seated around the dining room table.
Here is to eating delicious meals on gorgeous rugs!

When working in the rug room, we hear many of the same fears over and over again and yet by the time most folks leave, they have some peace of mind. Are these some of your concerns?
We enjoyed a great time in Pakistan. Everywhere we went we met friendly, helpful and incredibly hospitable people. It seemed like everyone wanted to shake our hands and give us a hug. On Sunday afternoon, while touring the old Lahore Fort, a number of people wanted their pictures taken with us. Contrary to what we hear and read in the media about Pakistan, it’s a great place to travel – safe, friendly, hospitable and very scenic.
