One Room, Two Looks, You Choose

Sometimes we wish we could tag along with our customers when they take different rugs home on approval to see which rug fits and looks the best. How do you decide which style you like or if the 8×10 fits better than the 6×9 size rug?
A new community of homes build by Landmark Homes in our neighborhood in Ephrata graciously let us bring in a truck load of rugs so we could experiment ourselves. Here is our first look at rugs in the living room. We wanted to show you how the same room gets transformed by simply changing the style of rug.

If Natalie Merchant’s twirling days from the 10,000 Maniacs could be translated into a rug, that would be my style. My husband, on the other hand, is the type of guy that that never lets a beard/moustache growing project get the slightest bit untrimmed, perfects the blue shirt look and shines his daily wear shoes. So, how in the world would we find a rug that spoke to both of us, that represented both of us and in turn represented us as a couple?
We enjoyed a great time in Pakistan. Everywhere we went we met friendly, helpful and incredibly hospitable people. It seemed like everyone wanted to shake our hands and give us a hug. On Sunday afternoon, while touring the old Lahore Fort, a number of people wanted their pictures taken with us. Contrary to what we hear and read in the media about Pakistan, it’s a great place to travel – safe, friendly, hospitable and very scenic.
