DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wanted a hand-knotted rug? Not just any rug\, but one with the quality to last a lifetime and the fair trade labor standards you demand? Come and explore our large selection of Tribal\, Bokhara and Persian rugs. From Classic to Contemporary in sizes from 2’x3′ to 10’x14′ and runners. All of the rugs are hand-knotted by fairly paid adults in Pakistan. \nThis special event will be held at Hyattsville Mennonite Church\, 4217  East-West Hwy\, Hyattsville\, MD\, and is hosted in conjunction with Hyattsville Mennonite Church and Ten Thousand Villages Alexaxdria. \nEVENT HOURS: Friday 5-8 p.m. & Saturday 10-5Click here for more info >> \nPrepare For The Rug Event\nWe host this special event once a year to bring these high quality\, fairly traded hand-knotted rugs to our community. Since the rugs will be here for just a few days\, we encourage you to do a little prep. \n\nWhen you visit our rug event\, bring swatches of materials and upholstery\, paint chips and pillows to help you choose a rug that will blend with your decor.\nMeasure your room as well as the area you would want your rug to cover. Large rugs are impressive while smaller rugs can be more versatile. Be flexible in sizing and you will increase the number of rugs to choose from.\nRemember that a hand knotted rug will last for generations\, while your furniture\, upholstery and home will change.\nConsider rugs that speak to you\, rather than one that simply matches its surroundings.
